Hello! We are April Studio. A creative and strategic studio with a focus on branding, service design and marketing communication. All in all, we want brands to flourish and find clarity and coherence.

We provide a variety of building blocks to overcome brand and marketing challenges. Understanding the target audience, building distinct insights and clear design drivers are the keys in building a credible brand and compelling services. Kela / Social Insurance Institution
Service design. Design education. Using service design methods, we built the ongoing strategy for Kela. The work consisted of having several internal workshops, conducting multiple interviews and a thorough analysis and finally an action pack to execute the strategy.

Communication concept. Taiteilijatakki-campaign. Ateneum avasi kokoelmanäyttelynsä uudelleen. Ateneum Taiteilijatakki –kilpailu kutsui neljä taiteilijaa tekemään oman tulkintansa suosikkiteoksestaan. Taiteilijatakit valmistettiin yhteistyössä Samujin kanssa.
Ateneum Art Museum opened the permanent exhibition after renovation. The contest, Ateneum Painter’s Coat, invited four diverse artists to make their own interpretation of their favourite painting within the collection. The coat was produced in co-operation with Samuji. // with Armi Creatives

HTC Helsinki
Brand renewal.  HTC Helsinki is Finland´s first High Tech Center, built 2001. It is beautifully located in Ruoholahti. The building offers premises and services for high technology companies. We developed their brand, visual identity and communication in both in BtoB and BtoC contexts.  // with Armi Creatives

Service Design

We speak for empathic design methods. Or service design, you name it. All in all, we think that empathy has a key role in problem-solving and in building brands and actions that have a solid reasoning. Human-centric design merges the gap between the company and the customer.

Empathic design is a low-cost method to identify people’s (customer, employee..) dreams, values and needs, the things that affect their behaviour. Human-centric approach provides insights to create stronger brands, campaigns and services.

Design Audit

An effective brand needs cohesion. We provide design audit to analyse the existing brand elements. Design audit studies how the company or the brand is represented out there.

Our design audit shows you how all your visual elements and core messages are seen in the real circumstances, in touch points, in media, through third party actions, and also preferably next to your competitors. Design audit is a bit like psychotherapy for your business.
